This Privacy Policy explains how JTWebxmedia (“we,” “us,” or “our”), the operator of thecleanairhub.com (the “Site”), collects, uses, and protects your personal information, and the rights you have over it. We are based in Brussels, Belgium, and act as the data controller for personal data processed through the Site. If you have any questions, contact us at contact@thecleanairhub.com.
1. Who we are
- Data controller: JTWebxmedia, Brussels, Belgium
- Contact: contact@thecleanairhub.com
- Website: https://thecleanairhub.com
2. Information we collect
Information you give us. If you contact us through our contact form or by email, we collect the information you provide — typically your name, email address, and the content of your message.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, some data is collected automatically, including your IP address, browser type and settings, device information, referring pages, and how you interact with the Site, through server logs and analytics tools.
Cookies and similar technologies. We and selected third parties use cookies and similar technologies as described in Section 4.
We do not intentionally collect special categories of data, and we ask that you not send us sensitive personal information.
3. How we use your information and legal bases
We use personal information to:
- respond to your enquiries and provide support (legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding, or steps taken at your request);
- operate, maintain, and secure the Site (legitimate interest);
- understand how the Site is used and improve our content (consent, where analytics cookies are used; otherwise legitimate interest in aggregate measurement);
- attribute qualifying purchases made through affiliate links (legitimate interest / consent for the associated cookies);
- comply with legal obligations.
Where we rely on consent (for example, for non-essential analytics or advertising cookies), you can withdraw it at any time (see Section 8).
4. Cookies and tracking
The Site uses:
- Essential cookies needed for the Site to function and to remember your cookie choices.
- Analytics cookies — Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — which help us understand Site usage. These are non-essential and are only set after you consent where consent is required.
- Third-party cookies from affiliate partners — when you click an affiliate link (e.g., to Amazon), the destination may set its own cookies to attribute a purchase, governed by that third party’s privacy policy.
For visitors in the EU, the United Kingdom, and other regions that require it, non-essential cookies are only set after you give consent through our cookie banner. Visitors in California and other applicable US states can exercise opt-out choices through the same banner (“Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information”). A detailed, current list of cookies is available in our cookie declaration, which is managed and kept up to date by our consent tool, Complianz. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.
5. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share personal information only with:
- Service providers who help us run the Site (hosting, analytics, consent management), who process data on our behalf;
- Affiliate partners, to the extent needed to attribute qualifying purchases (typically via cookies rather than data we transfer);
- Authorities or third parties where required by law or to protect our rights.
Note for California residents: the use of certain advertising/analytics cookies may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CPRA. You can opt out via our cookie banner.
6. International data transfers
We are based in the EU, but some service providers (such as analytics and affiliate partners) may process data in the United States or other countries. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary:
- contact-form messages: retained in our email inbox for up to 24 months unless an ongoing matter requires longer. Contact-form submissions are emailed to us and are not stored in the Site’s database;
- analytics data: Google Analytics 4 is configured with a 14-month data-retention period;
- server logs: retained per our hosting provider’s default (typically a few weeks to a few months).
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights.
EEA / UK (GDPR & UK GDPR): access; rectification; erasure; restriction; data portability; objection; and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Belgium, the Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données, www.dataprotectionauthority.be); UK visitors may contact the ICO (ico.org.uk).
California (CCPA/CPRA): the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used; to delete; to correct; to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise any right, email contact@thecleanairhub.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
9. Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version, and material changes will be made clear on this page.
